That’s right, Miz Lopez is pregnant—in her new movie, that is! Jennifer just signed on for the lead role in the new romantic comedy “The Back-Up Plan,” where she’ll play Zoe, a single woman who turns to artificial insemination to answer her ticking biological clock. But her strategy goes bust when Mr. Right, Alex O'Loughlin (“Moonlight”, “August Rush”) shows up on the same day of her appointment. Now she and her new dream man must figure out love, marriage and family—in reverse.

New Mariah Carey Album

Okay, most Mariah fans will probably roll their eyes at this post declaring it old news and simply closing the page. But that's not to say there aren't some very dedicated fans who haven't registered to Twitter yet and are unaware of what Mariah's been working on, and please do note I'm not writing this post thinking I've uncovered some previously unheard of news. I'm merely posting this as a means to compile what I know of the album with some qoutes to back me up.

It was known months ago there was to be a new Mariah Carey album released later this year, if not early next year. A rumour gradually arose claiming the album were to be titled 'MC3', but a post on Mariah's Twitter put a close to that rumour, clearly stating;
'I can't really define the new album yet but I'm in love w/it and its not called MC3 or whatever'.

After that post wiped away any thread of information regarding the album a flood of posts followed from Mariah discussing her time in studio enlightening fans with some solid facts on the album and additionally illustrating Carey's devotion to her fans.

We quickly knew the album would contain some of Mariah's tradmark ballads; '
...yes I did record a lot of Ballads already. I'm verrrry happy and excited about them and I really hope you guys enjoy them!!!: )'

We also knew Mariah had been working hard in the studio due to a series of posts of this nature; '
Yep. I was up til like 8am yesterday listening to the new songs w/raerae and Shawn etc and now I gotta sleep all day...So I can sing tonite again'.

Excitement filled us when Mariah said; '
I'm trying to make this a classic 4 all of you who are inspiring me. Thank U!'

A cover of Foreigner's 'I Want To Know What Love Is' is due to feauture on the album.

Mariah also gave us a couple of names of those she'd be working with, including James 'Big Jim Wright and Christopher 'Tricky' Stewart.

And to conclude I'll state the obvious and what we all knew from the start, the album is bound to be a 'stonegroovewinner.'

What to Read 2009-Update

Earlier on in the year we posted an article briefly outlining a few of the books d
ue for release later on this year titled 'What to Read in 2009' (click here if you wish to familiarise yourself with this article) which at the end promised to post some more concrete information once we had it. Well now we have it, here it is:

Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella-

All we knew of it was that it was due to be released sometime in August and obviously (knowing Sophie Kinsella) it was boun
d to be a terrific read; but the info stopped there. Well now a few months later more information is beginning to leak onto the internet and now officially here.

Two covers have been confirmed and based on her previous covers we imagine the one to the left is the American cover and
the one to the right is the UK cover:

A synopsis has also been confirmed:

Lara has always had an over - active imagination. Now she wonders if she is losing her mind. Normal twenty-something girls just don’t get visited by ghosts! But inexplicably, the spirit of Lara’s great aunt Sadie - in the form of a bold, demanding Charleston-dancing girl - has appeared to make one last request: Lara must track down a missing necklace Sadie simply can’t rest without. Lara’s got enough problems of her own. Her startup company is floundering, her best friend and business partner has run off to Goa, and she’s just been dumped by the love of her life. But as Lara spends time with Sadie , life becomes more glamorous, she dresses in beautiful vintage frocks and their treasure hunt turns into something intriguing and romantic. Could Sadie’s ghost be the answer to Lara’s problems and can two girls from different times end up learning something special from each other?

(Previously) Unknown by Cecelia Ahern-

As the heading says the title of this book was previously unknown, and although we unfortunately couldn't find a cover or a synopsis we do know the book is due to be called 'The Girl Of Tomorrow' and based on Cecelia's previous works it's going to be yet another beautiful read.

Countless backyard dogs are struggling to survive long days and nights outside in the freezing cold. Some die from exposure because of lack of basic shelter, but most somehow pull through, suffering terribly from the cold and damp conditions of winter.

But, with your help, PETA can build and deliver hundreds of sturdy, warm doghouses filled with straw for these lonely dogs whose guardians won't relinquish them or let them go inside. Your sponsorship today can not only help dogs make it through this winter's worst weather but also help provide comfort through wind, rain, and summer heat for years to come.

By becoming a PETA "Angel for Animals" sponsor, you can help alleviate the suffering of outdoor dogs who spend their lonely lives trapped at the end of a chain, with no real shelter from freezing temperatures, snow, sleet, and other weather extremes.

Your "Angel for Animals" sponsorship gift of $265 can provide one doghouse filled with straw to a needy dog.

Please make as generous a sponsorship gift as you can. Help us provide as many sorely neglected dogs as possible with shelter and a warm spot to curl up in!

It is in tough times like these that unloved animals need you the most. We will fight as hard as we possibly can to ensure that animals are not mistreated, forgotten, or ignored.*
